About us
The School of Formation provides learning opportunities to sustain confident Christian communities throughout the Diocese and encourages all people to flourish in their calling.
This includes:
- Helping churches to grow in the likeness of Christ
- Supporting clergy in their vocation
- Resourcing those in training for Reader and ordained ministry
- Encouraging people to grow in faith and discipleship
- Resourcing people on their spiritual journeys
- Supporting parishes and benefices to meet the challenges of a leadership vacancy
- Enabling Christians to discern how to serve God
The School of Formation launched officially in 2007.
It's called a school because it is primarily involved with education. It includes formation because it is seeking to enable people to be formed into the likeness of Christ, as St Paul encourages.
