Renewal

The Renewal Group aims to enable every member of the Church to recognise their unique gifts to use in mission.  It aims to empower individuals, enrich churches and engage communities.

To encourage Renewal in the Diocese we:

• make prayer a priority as the starting point for mission. We provide a four week course on Listening to God  which can be run in your area.

• encourage prayer with fasting.  We have produced and lead a six week course on this subject, based on the handbook Fasting - the Forgotten Discipline.

• follow the commission of Jesus - to seek to make known the Kingdom of God through preaching, teaching and healing. We run a four week evening course on Healing and Wholeness covering these issues.

• acknowledge the five-fold ministry that Jesus imparted to the church for its edification and mission (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher).  We particularly encourage the Prophetic Ministry within the life of the Church.
