Vicar, Benefice of Ilminster with Whitelackington
Ilminster is a thriving market town with strong historic connections to its sister hamlet of Whitelackington, only one mile distant. Both are set in a beautiful part of South Somerset with easy access to all points via the A303.
We seek an enthusiastic and inspirational priest who can:
- Lead our Benefice forward in its vision, particularly through the nurture of our children and young families.
- Develop our Christian discipleship and move people to experience God’s love.
- Demonstrate good team working and leadership skills.
- Reach out in love and pastoral care to people, both within and outside the church, and engage with our local community life.
- Show good communication and inter-personal skills for relating to those of widely different backgrounds and age groups.
- Bring scripture to life in preaching and teaching.
- Happily embrace a broad expression of worship.
- Seek to maintain the valued place of the Minster Church in the affection and heart of Ilminster town.
