Early Music Wells: Bach and the Italian connection. Matthew Owens (Organist & Master of the Choristers, Wells Cathedral) gives the Kenneth Pye Memorial Recital featuring works by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, and Frescobaldi.
Tickets £10 (including a glass of wine after the concert), available from the Wells Cathedral Shop and on the door.

R5. R5: Read, Retreat, Rest, Relax, Recuperate
Set in 45 acres of beautiful Devon Countryside and run by a small Christian community, Sheldon is a wonderful place to take time out. An R5 week is: open to everybody, a retreat time out with shared meals, the rhythm of community prayers to join in with if you wish, ideal for those who find it easier to take quiet time apart when it includes some social contact. 1-8 June.
