Services for children and young people are coordinated by the Diocesan Education Department.The Department, which is based in the Old Deanery, Wells is a team of professional staff, dedicated to serving many thousands of children and young people across historic Somerset. We support the adults who work with them, whether in parishes, deaneries and local ministry groups/teams or schools, colleges and universities.
The scope of our work is considerable, involving many partnerships, and we hope that these pages provide helpful information about the range of activities and services undertaken by the team. There are also links to useful resources for schools and parishes.
